Cognitive Science

The term "cognitive science" originates from the Latin word "cognoscere" - to know, learn, recognize. Cognitive science as a separate field was born about fourty years ago and its development began with the launch of interdisciplinary research programs which led to establishing centers for experimental research - first in the United States and Great Britain, and then in other countries all over the world.
